The Terra Victus compost advantage

Normal compost from plant origin has natural low occurring plant nutrients that are not readily available to the plant.  This is mostly due to the composting process as well as acceleration of the decomposition of the plant materials.  The addition of animal waste products contributes towards the generation of a strong aerobic breakdown of all composting materials (plant and animal residue) thereby making the nutrients readily available in the final product.  The nutrients are not destroyed in the process.

Terra Victus’s range of enriched fertilizer has the advantage that it meets the nutrient needs of a wide range of different crops.  Crops have different NPK needs at various stages in its growth cycle.  Whereas normal compost can only provide the nutrients available in the source plant or animal waste material, Terra Victus range of organically enriched fertilizer contains scientifically formulated chemical fertilizers which make it an excellent soil enhancer and plant feed.  Soil enhancement is achieved through the carbon activation of the soil by re-populating the soil surrounding the plant root system with beneficial microorganisms.  This contributes to making the nutrients readily available for the plant, as and when it is needed in the various growth stages.

All mineralized plant nutrients e.g. phosphorous, is made plant available through time by the microorganisms and therefore rejuvenates the soil. To drive this process, the fertilizer must also have enough accessible carbon to sustain the microorganisms. Anaerobic processes make plant accessible carbon. Therefore it is important to add material form anaerobic source to ensure enough carbon for the process to initialize.

Microorganism activity in the soil feeds the plant by changing the chemical elements in the compost to plant feed. They also store the elements in their bodies and when they die these elements are re-introduced back into the soil. Higher levels of micro-organisms present in the soil leads to healthier soil and an enhanced growth environment. Effectively, the microorganisms bring the nutrient elements to the plant in exchange for sugars/acids.

The added NPK in Terra Vitus’s enriched fertilizer is converted by the organic acids in compost and therefore becomes more accessible to the plant. Thereby the efficacy of the available amount of NPK as plant nutrition is higher than merely the application of NPK’s alone. The organic acids change the appearance and mechanism of uptake by the plant and it can be seen as “barcoding” of the nutrient.

Terra Victus’s fertilizer will accommodate the use of more chemical fertilizer without harming the soil, since it acts as a buffer. It will decrease the requirement for chemicals and that will contribute towards restoring the health of the soil.  In effect, the continuous application of Terra Victus’s compost will bring life back into soil that has been depleted of microbial organisms and nutrients.

Plants need more than just NPK – Compost, in general, and more so Terra Victus fertilizer, is actually very “rich” soil with most of the elements in it that is needed for optimal plant growth and yield.  Terra Victus fertilizer also contains selected micro-organism compatible fertilizer that further enhances the soil rejuvenation.
